The city of Sucre was the stage for the prestigious 2024 Entrepreneurship World Cup (EWC 2024), a global event organized by the Global Entrepreneurship Network (GEN) and the Fundación Trabajo Empresa, with invaluable local support from Fundación NAPP. The competition took place at the Auditorium of the Universidad Mayor Real y Pontificia de San Francisco Xavier, as part of the celebration of this historic institution's 400th anniversary.
Over a hundred attendees gathered to witness the exciting event and learn about this year's finalists. The classified startups were: Sommos, AcceptGO, GoBox, Trabajito, Te Ayudo Bolivia, KidKash, Compass BP, PePr Digital, Wiver, and OpenCities. The representation included four startups from Santa Cruz, three from La Paz, two from Sucre, and one from Cochabamba.
The EWC 2024 Bolivia selection process was supported by a distinguished panel of professionals and entrepreneurs who selected the top three startups and the event's champion. AcceptGO was crowned the grand winner of this edition.
The startups advancing to the next phase, the EWC 250 cohort, with the potential to be among the top 100 in the world, are:
- AcceptGO - Jonathan Guido Capra Calderón
- Sommos - Alejandra Natalia Rojas Arancibia
- GoBox - Alejandro Parada Leigue
The global final will take place in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, in November.
