170 events will be taking place in Bulgaria during GEW 2018

Global Entrepreneurship Week in Bulgaria starts on 12th November with educational events across the country. The eleventh edition in which Junior Achievement is a national host includes more than 170 events in 64 settlements in the country. From today, till Sunday will be organized innovative camps and open lessons all around the country of which 4,800 students are expected to participate in the initiatives.

Global Entrepreneurship Week in Bulgaria starts on 12th November with educational events across the country. The eleventh edition in which Junior Achievement is a national host includes more than 170 events in 64 settlements in the country. From today, till Sunday will be organized innovative camps and open lessons all around the country of which 4,800 students are expected to participate in the initiatives.

The society is growing fast, the environment is digitized and we don’t know what future careers are but we know what kind of skills will be needed and all of the can be develop through entrepreneurship”

Among the events in the country during Global Entrepreneurship Week are 44 innovation camps, 75 open lessons and many other local initiatives. The students who will participate in the innovation camps will be working on a case involving youth unemployment, developed by JA Bulgaria, national host of GEW since 2008. 

Globally, millions of young people will participate in initiatives that promote entrepreneur thinking and behavior giving new ideas and searching new ways for growing. 

There are some of the initiatives that will take place around the week through the hospitality and coordination of JA: 

On 13th and 14th of November in 101st “Bacho Kiro” school, Sofia will be organized open lessons which will be prepared from the students of 11th grade and 8th and 9th grade students will be introduced with experience and participation in a training company. On the other hand to introduce the younger students from 6th and 7th grade with the global pollution problem and how the students can help with the care of environment using different innovation methods and products. 

On the 14th of November the children from “Nikola Ionkov Vaptsarov” Primary School in Botevgrad will meet with the parents in open lesson in which will talk about the modern profession connect with the protection of the environment. On the same day The Bulgarian National Television will visit and report one of the biggest youth events within the Week, at 19. Secondary school in the capital of the country, Sofia, where an Innovation camp with 100 students will take place. The students will work on a case related to youth unemployment and career orientation. 

Also on 14th November, Svetoslava Stoyanova from JA Bulgaria, the national GEW host, will participate in international webinar invited by the hosts of the Week in Russia. You can join the event from here. 

In the morning of 15th November Todor Sarakchiev, entrepreneur and alumni of JA, and business mentor and volunteer within GEW in Bulgaria for several years, together with one of the leading Technology and Entrepreneurship teachers from JA network in the elementary school level, Emiliya Palamarkova, will be guests in the morning show of the Bulgarian National Television. They will talk about the entrepreneurial mindset and the activities of the GEW, initiated in Bulgaria as celebration of the worldwide event. 

On the 15th of November in “Exarch Antim” school, town of Kazanluk will be organized night of economy and entrepreneurship in where will be competition, games and a test for celebrating the Global Week. There will participate students from 9th to 12th grade and as well as guests - former students. On the same day, a meeting of graduate students will be held at the Dobrudzha High School in Silistra where the graduates will share more about the road that has been created in the creation of their business. 

At the end of the week, in Pleven, the students from “Peyo Yavorov ”school will participate in financial game “Free money” in which they will show their skills to take risks and knowledge about different investments. 

On November 16, Friday, in the within the #YouthEmpowered program in Sofia, the "Peroto" Literary Club will host the "Thirsty for Knowledge" initiative, where from 13:00 Vera Petatchin from JA Bulgaria will make a workshop for young people "How to build an entrepreneurial way of thinking." The week will is rich in events throughout the country and the participants in 2018 are from 6 years old children to adults.
