A training session on innovation was held in Ouagadougou. This training is organized by GEN Burkina Faso as part of the Global Entrepreneurship Week 2025. About a hundred young people took part in this workshop on innovation, in this case focused on deeptech.

Burkina Faso is the third-largest economy in the WAEMU zone. Burkina Faso is a country in the Sahel, AES area. Youth entrepreneurship in Burkina Faso is a major axis of development, supported by government programs and partners. Initiatives aim to support young people through capacity building, mentoring, financing and access to capital. Challenges remain, including the lack of prior training for some young entrepreneurs, but efforts are being made to build skills and create an ecosystem conducive to the creation of sustainable businesses. It is in this dynamic that GEN Burkina Faso is inscribed. The training aims to give young people the ability to be creative, inventive and innovative in order to do things differently.
