The Global Entrepreneurship Week (GEW) 2025 activities in the Mefou and Afamba Division continued with remarkable enthusiasm as the entrepreneurship sensitization campaign took place at Mfou Technical High School. The event successfully fulfilled its mission of inspiring students and strengthening entrepreneurial culture within the school community.

Led by the National Employment Fund (FNE) teams, supported by local partners and ecosystem actors, the session brought together students, teachers, and school administrators for an impactful learning experience. The presentations highlighted key themes such as opportunity identification, creativity, financial awareness, value creation, and the role of young people in building resilient local economies.

Students actively participated in discussions, asking questions about launching small projects, accessing support programs, and navigating the challenges of starting a business at a young age. Many expressed excitement at discovering that entrepreneurship is not reserved for adults or professionals, but can begin with simple, innovative ideas developed right in their school environment.

Teachers and mentors appreciated the initiative, noting that such activities help students develop critical thinking, confidence, and a sense of responsibility. They also recognized the importance of exposing learners early to career pathways beyond traditional employment.

The FNE representatives emphasized the national goal of empowering youth and encouraging self-employment, stressing that initiatives like this are crucial for preparing the next generation of entrepreneurs capable of contributing to Cameroon’s economic transformation.

The Mfou GEW school outreach concluded with renewed motivation among students and a commitment from educators to further promote entrepreneurial thinking throughout the academic year.

With this successful event, the Mefou and Afamba Division reinforces its dedication to shaping a future where young people become creators of opportunities rather than job seekers.
