Policy Catalyst Award Criteria

The Compass Award for Policy Catalyst recognizes a GEN Policy community member who has made the most significant contribution to removing barriers to entrepreneurship through advocacy or implementation of new policies and regulations. This award is open to campaigners, advisors, officials, and other policy professionals.

The following factors are considered in the selection of the award winner (in no particular order):

• Ecosystem-wide recognition or proven impact in removing barriers to entrepreneurship through smart policies
• Level of engagement with the GEN Policy global community through communication, contribution to the GEN Atlas portal or use of ideas, and/or policy dialogues
• Commitment to evidence-based policymaking
• Engagement with GEN national leadership, GEN’s ecosystem partners, and entrepreneurs in policy deliberations
