On 16 September, at GEC+Africa in Cape Town, the Global Entrepreneurship Network launched its 2026 Global Entrepreneurship Week campaign. Algeria was invited to present its experience to the delegations gathered.

The invitation extended to Algeria described the country in these terms:

"As one of our top hosts (and largest campaign) in the world."

That is Algeria's place in this network, in the network's own words.

Très heureux d’avoir représenté Global Entrepreneurship Network RDC (GEN RDC) au GEC+Africa 2026, au Cap, en Afrique du Sud, autour du thème « Connecting Africa ».

Lors de la réunion des Leaders de GEN Global, j’ai eu l’opportunité de porter la voix de la République démocratique du Congo et de partager notre vision pour le développement de l’écosystème entrepreneurial congolais.

The startup ecosystem in Nigeria has experienced a exponential growth in recent years. Leaving  the generic concept of business and entrepreneurship to the very womb of incubation where it  belongs. Added to this is a specified Act (The Nigeria Startup Act 2022) to aid properly this  incubation.
