Policy Champion Award Criteria
The Compass Award for Policy Champion recognizes a GEN Policy community leader who has had the most significant impact in removing barriers to entrepreneurship through policies, programs or regulatory changes. This award is open to ministers, governors, mayors and other political leaders.
The following factors are considered in the selection of the award winner (in no particular order):
- Ecosystem-wide recognition or proven impact in removing barriers to entrepreneurship through smart policies, programs and regulatory reform
- Level of engagement with the GEN Policy global community through communication, contribution to the GEN Atlas portal or use of ideas, and/or policy dialogues
- Commitment to evidence-based policymaking
- Engagement with GEN national leadership, GEN’s ecosystem partners, and entrepreneurs in policy deliberations
- Ingenuity of policy recommendations and ideas
