Global Entrepreneurship Week Catalyst Criteria

The Compass Award for Global Entrepreneurship Week Catalyst recognizes host organizations that generate a significant number of events, partners and participants through their national Global Entrepreneurship Week campaigns. 

Nominees and finalists are selected by the Global Entrepreneurship Network based on factors reported through its campaign host survey, including: 

• Total number of GEW events reported
• Number of GEW events reported per capita (based on national population totals)
• Total number of GEW partners/event organizers
• Number of GEW partners/event organizers per capita (based on national population totals)
• Number of individuals participating in GEW events (including live and virtual)
• Demonstrated buzz around their Global Entrepreneurship Week campaign in terms of social media and/or traditional media
• Diversity of events and partners, engaging a wide variety of communities and organizations rather than a homogeneous audience
• Positive stewardship of the GEN brand

Candidates for this award are nominated by GEN HQ staff.
