Girls in Tech Ecuador brings back Empower in her 8th edition! This women community is committed to eliminate the gender gap in tech and to significantly increase the number of girls, especially underserved girls, to pursue STEAM education. They have changed the lives of several women along the years.
“Empower aims to bridge the gap between academia and business, bringing professionals and experts from the technology industry closer to young female university students. The idea is that they understand how technology is transforming the way we communicate and do business and that they know what are the challenges that await them in the world of work. We want them to leave the event with practical digital tools that help them grow in their professional careers and ventures.” Explains Melissa Nebot, Girls in Tech Ecuador Bussiness Manager.
According to the main topics of GEW, this event is in the category of inclusion, but also could be in the category of ecosystem, because it is focused on gender and also, search to open new opportunities to young women connecting them with the technology industry. This edition will be an in-person event and will be celebrated on November 9th in Palacio de Cristal in Guayaquil. The universities involved are ESPOL, Católica, UIDE, UPS, Universidad Guayaquil , Instituto Bolivariano and Universidad del Pacífico, they will send their female students to live this experience for one day.
