48 women completed the two-day Women Entrepreneurship Training (WET) session

EDI has been empowering women, particularly those who are less educated and economically disadvantaged, recognizing their vital role in society. The Women Entrepreneurship Training (WET) session held in Wacha was part of these efforts, designed to support vulnerable women in the area. Initially planned for 50 participants, 48 women completed the two-day training. Most of the trainees were small business owners, engaged in selling readymade clothing, running restaurants, or offering “Baltina” services. Only one participant had yet to start a business.

Objective
The primary goal of the session was to spark entrepreneurial behavior among the participants and introduce them to the competencies of successful entrepreneurs. By focusing on 10 key competencies and 30 associated behaviors, the training aimed to enhance their entrepreneurial skills and foster confidence in managing and growing their businesses.

Through active discussions, experience sharing, and practical examples, the women reflected on the concepts and related them to their own experiences. The training was impactful, with many participants demonstrating a significant transformation in their entrepreneurial mindset and behavior, marking a step forward in their personal and professional development.
