60 graduating students from Hawassa University's College of Forestry and Natural Resources participated in the CETW

On November 15–16, 2024, 60 graduating students (11 females and 49 males) from Hawassa University's College of Forestry and Natural Resources participated in the Customized Entrepreneurship Training Workshop (CETW). Organized in collaboration with the Ethiopian Entrepreneurship Development Institute (EDI), Hawassa University, and the MasterCard Foundation under the Seed Project, this workshop was part of the Global Entrepreneurship Week celebrations. It aimed to motivate students to consider entrepreneurship as a viable career path.

The training focused on cultivating essential entrepreneurial skills such as idea generation, opportunity identification, and entrepreneurial decision-making. Participants engaged in activities designed to foster a positive mindset, introduce key entrepreneurial traits, and identify viable business opportunities relevant to their field of study.

This initiative highlighted the importance of empowering young individuals with the knowledge and skills necessary to recognize and act on entrepreneurial opportunities. By equipping participants with these competencies, the workshop sought to prepare them to create sustainable businesses, contribute to economic development, and address societal challenges innovatively.
