Aman Polytechnic College in Mizan hosted the Entrepreneurship and Business Management Skills (EBMS) training for 42 participants


From November 25 to 28, 2024, Aman Polytechnic College in Mizan, Southwest Ethiopia, hosted the Entrepreneurship and Business Management Skills (EBMS) training program. This four-day event welcomed 42 participants (20 males and 22 females), primarily graduating students who either operate small businesses or plan to launch their ventures soon.

The EBMS program is designed to ignite entrepreneurial thinking and encourage participants to view entrepreneurship as a rewarding career path. The training provides practical guidance on critical areas like idea generation, opportunity recognition, and business planning, ensuring participants are well-prepared to start and sustain their businesses. Through engaging activities and real-world examples, the program underscores that entrepreneurial success is attainable with the right mindset and competencies. By focusing on globally recognized entrepreneurial traits, participants were encouraged to see challenges as opportunities and their communities as potential markets.

Though the program is still ongoing, the energy and active participation among attendees are evident. Many have expressed their excitement to implement the strategies and skills learned, showing a strong commitment to applying these tools in their professional and personal lives.

This impactful training, aimed at building entrepreneurial capacity and fostering self-reliance, is supported by EDI Ethiopia, the SEED project, and Aman Polytechnic College.
