Bahir Dar University, in collaboration with the Entrepreneurship Development Institute (EDI) - Ethiopia, successfully organized a panel discussion on establishing entrepreneurial ecosystem on November 23, 2024. The event brought together a diverse group of participants, including representatives from the Amhara Region Bureau of Labor and Training (BoLT), the University’s management and staff, banks, Bahir Dar city administration officials, and innovative startup founders. The University vice president Professor Eniyew Adigo and EDI Regional coordinator; Mr. Yibeltal Elias gave opening remark for the discussion. 

The discussion focused on fostering collaboration among stakeholders and identifying actionable steps to strengthen the entrepreneurial ecosystem in the region. Participants shared insights, challenges, and opportunities, paving the way for a more vibrant and sustainable entrepreneurial environment.

The outcomes of this fruitful dialogue provided stakeholders with valuable takeaways and commitments to drive tangible improvements for a better entrepreneurial future. The event underscored the importance of partnerships and innovation in addressing regional and national economic development goals.
