CETW training at Hawassa University Awada Campus

 

Customized Entrepreneurship Training Workshop (CETW) held on November 18, 2024, at Hawassa University Awada Campus as part of Global Entrepreneurship Week. Organized by the Ethiopian Entrepreneurship Development Institute (EDI), Hawassa University, and the MasterCard Foundation (Seed Project), the workshop aimed to inspire graduating students to consider entrepreneurship as a viable career option and to equip them with essential skills for their future endeavors.

The training engaged 71 participants, including 12 females and 59 males, all from the university's graduating class. Designed to empower young students as future job creators, the workshop emphasized critical entrepreneurial competencies such as idea generation, opportunity identification, and problem-solving. It also encouraged participants to adopt a positive entrepreneurial mindset and to recognize viable business opportunities.

Through interactive sessions and hands-on activities, the workshop provided participants with the tools to develop innovative solutions to community challenges, laying the foundation for their journey as effective business people. This initiative underscores the importance of entrepreneurship in fostering economic growth and personal empowerment.
