A comprehensive Entrepreneurship and Business Management Skills (EBMS) training was conducted for 36 participants

From 20-23 November 2024, as part of the Global Entrepreneurship Week #GEW2024Ethiopia, a comprehensive Entrepreneurship and Business Management Skills (EBMS) training was conducted over four consecutive days for 36 participants from various Aleta Wondo kebeles. The training focused on motivating and empowering participants to start their own businesses, with a special emphasis on overcoming common barriers such as limited capital. Through hands-on exercises, particularly the Business Creation Exercise, participants learned valuable skills in business promotion and the practical aspects of starting a business. Many expressed newfound confidence in their ability to launch a business with small capital, using available resources in their environment, which was a significant shift from their previous belief that large capital was a prerequisite for entrepreneurship.

Additionally, the participants gained essential knowledge through practical exercises such as market study and business plan preparation, which they viewed as fundamental tools for successfully launching a business. The training also placed a strong focus on goal setting, with participants learning how to set clear objectives and create actionable plans to achieve them. By the end of the training, most participants had developed a clear understanding of how to assess their strengths and areas for improvement. Overall, the training was successful in motivating participants to break free from the constraints of poverty and encouraged them to implement their business ideas, marking a positive step toward entrepreneurship and economic self-sufficiency.
