From November 20-23, 2024 a comprehensive Entrepreneurship Business Management Skills (EBMS) training was successfully conducted over four consecutive days at Aleta Wondo Polytechnic College, hosted by the Entrepreneurship Development Institute (EDI). The training was designed for 40 young aspiring entrepreneurs from the city, with a focus on equipping them with the essential skills and mindset required to launch and manage their own businesses. The program provided practical knowledge aimed at fostering entrepreneurial motivation, goal setting, and strategic thinking, all of which are crucial for their business success.

Throughout the training, the participants were introduced to core principles of business start-up and development, tailored specifically to their local context and needs. The trainers provided guidance on identifying opportunities, managing resources, and navigating the challenges of entrepreneurship. The sessions also emphasized the importance of a strong entrepreneurial mindset, encouraging the participants to be proactive, adaptable, and resilient in pursuing their business goals. This aligned well with the objectives of Global Entrepreneurship Week (GEW), which seeks to inspire and empower the next generation of entrepreneurs.

The training was delivered by two experienced trainers, who engaged the participants in a variety of interactive activities and group discussions, fostering an environment of active participation. Observations during the sessions showed high levels of enthusiasm and engagement among the trainees, with many contributing valuable ideas and insights. The successful completion of this training marks an important milestone for young entrepreneurs, who are now better equipped with the skills and confidence needed to start their ventures and contribute positively to the local economy. The program's alignment with GEW ensured that the participants not only gained technical business knowledge but also developed the motivation to pursue their entrepreneurial ambitions.
