EBMS training at Mizan Agri-TVET College for 41 young graduates

The EBMS training has demonstrated a remarkable impact in transforming the perspectives of TVET institutions and their graduates. From November 25 to 28, 2024, an EBMS training workshop was conducted at Mizan Agri-TVET College as part of the SEED project’s efforts to shift a long-standing trend of graduates primarily seeking employment rather than creating entrepreneurial opportunities. The project has played a crucial role in encouraging students, particularly in technical fields, to acquire practical skills and independently establish enterprises, thereby fostering a culture of entrepreneurship.

The training aimed to ignite the entrepreneurial instincts of participants, encouraging them to think creatively, innovate, and address societal challenges by identifying opportunities within their surroundings and beyond. Trainees were guided to view their peers, fellow students, and the college campus as potential customers, using observed opportunities to develop solutions that fit their needs.

The session was facilitated by experienced trainers, Keralem Mengiste and Bekalu Amsalu, who provided participants with practical insights and tools to translate their ideas into actionable entrepreneurial ventures. In this particular session, 41 young graduates actively engaged in exploring ways to leverage their environment, reflecting the program's emphasis on hands-on learning and real-world application.
