EBMS training organized in collaboration with the Southwest Ethiopia Region Wacha City Administration

As part of the Global Entrepreneurship Week #GEW2024Ethiopia celebration, this session was one of three EBMS training events organized in collaboration with the Southwest Ethiopia Region Wacha City Administration, held from November 18–21, 2024. The session engaged an enthusiastic group of 41 young participants, most of whom had already formed enterprises and were on the brink of launching their own businesses. The training was facilitated by Jemanesh Girmaw from Mizan ATVET and Barkot Mola from Abyssinia Shine Business and Technology College (Aman).

The primary objective of the session was to provide participants with a deeper understanding of the entrepreneurial landscape, enabling them to identify and address community challenges effectively while benefiting from the value they create through their ventures.

Although the participants were initially cautious and hesitant, their involvement grew progressively throughout the sessions. By the end of the first day, lively discussions filled the room, particularly during the opportunity identification exercises. This positive momentum continued until the last day, revealing the great potential for future enterprises. However, some bureaucratic hurdles remain, and it is recommended that additional PEIEB training be conducted at various levels to address these challenges and foster a more supportive entrepreneurial environment.
