From November 18 to 21, 2024, the EBMS training program was conducted at the Ceiz City Administration Hall in Southwest Ethiopia, hosting 40 youth participants (24 males and 16 females). The four-day program aimed to cultivate entrepreneurial skills, inspire innovative thinking, and equip participants with essential tools for starting and managing successful businesses.

A key focus of the training was fostering a positive entrepreneurial mindset, which is crucial for success in both personal and professional spheres. Participants explored the characteristics of successful entrepreneurs and were guided through exercises such as business opportunity identification, Business Creation Exercises (BCE), market analysis, business canvas development, and goal-setting. These activities helped participants build confidence in recognizing and seizing viable opportunities while developing practical skills for market navigation and strategic planning.

The training demonstrated significant outcomes, including a shift toward innovative thinking and entrepreneurial behaviors. Participants reflected on how the training encouraged them to think beyond conventional approaches and apply problem-solving skills effectively. Notable changes included improved networking abilities, greater confidence in pursuing business ideas, and enhanced market understanding—all vital for their entrepreneurial journeys.

The program concluded with a certificate award ceremony, where the city manager emphasized the importance of entrepreneurship in addressing Ethiopia's unemployment challenge. He praised the contributions of EDI Ethiopia, the SEED project, and the trainers, acknowledging the program's role in fostering economic empowerment and independence.

This training marked a meaningful step toward equipping the youth of Ceiz City with the skills and mindset needed to become successful entrepreneurs, contributing to personal growth and community development.
