EDI-Ethiopia and Wollo University hosted a panel discussion in Dessie Town focusing on creating an entrepreneurial ecosystem

On November 22, 2024, EDI-Ethiopia and Wollo University hosted a panel discussion in Dessie Town at the Golden Gate Hotel, focusing on creating entrepreneurial ecosystem. The event attracted a total of 60 diverse group of stakeholders who contributed valuable insights and observations. Among the participants were regional, zonal, and wereda officials from the Bureau of Labor and Training, Wollo University representatives, banking institutions, Walia Lease Finance Share Company, and officials from the Dessie City Administration.
A key highlight of the event was the presentation of the Sustainable Employment through Entrepreneurship and Enterprise Development (SEED) program plan for the period from July 2024 to June 2025. The presentation was followed by detailed discussions, where participants exchanged ideas and strategies to support entrepreneurial growth.
The stakeholders made a collective commitment to collaborate and play an active role in creating an enabling environment for entrepreneurial development in the region, ensuring that the entrepreneurial ecosystem continues to thrive and support sustainable employment opportunities.
