EDI Ethiopia C-Suite Successfully Conducts Tigray Regional Office Visit

EDI Ethiopia's C-suite executives recently concluded a successful visit to the organization's Tigray Regional Office. The visit was marked by a warm welcome and a comprehensive overview of the region's operations. A key highlight of the visit was the successful on-boarding of a new finance officer and the installation of essential systems, seamlessly executed by the Finance and Administration Manager, Hiwot Beyene, and her team. The Innovation and BDS Director, Alemfre Derese, also held productive meetings with senior and counselor BDS advisors in Mekelle and Wukro, fostering operations and strategic discussions.

The C-suite team undertook site visits to Mekelle, Wukro, and Abiadi, gaining valuable insights and feedback from the field. Wondewossen, the SEED program manager, expressed appreciation for the hope the program instills in the region's youth, citing tangible results observed on the ground. This firsthand experience allowed HQ management to better understand the challenges and opportunities faced by the regional team and to appreciate the impactful work being done on the ground.
Deputy Director, Boru Shna, addressed trainers participating in an EBMS TOT, encouraging them to seize the opportunity to learn and develop their skills. Dr. Hassen Hussen, EDI Ethiopia Director, met with IDP targets of the program and received valuable feedback. He expressed EDI's commitment to supporting these individuals and emphasized that displacement can be a source of strength.
The management team also engaged in fruitful discussions with the heads of the TVET and Job Creation Bureau, exploring past achievements and future collaboration opportunities.
