EDI-Ethiopia Empowers Women Entrepreneurs in Maichew City

In celebration of Global Entrepreneurship Week, EDI-Ethiopia is hosting a customized entrepreneurship training program for 320 women entrepreneurs in Maichew City from November 26th to 30th, 2024.
Women entrepreneurs in Ethiopia often face significant challenges, including gender-based discrimination, cultural barriers, and limited access to resources. To address these challenges, EDI-Ethiopia has designed a tailored training program to meet the unique needs of each participant.
The training program will cover a wide range of topics, including business planning, financial management, marketing, and customer service. By focusing on practical skills and real-world applications, the program aims to equip women with the tools they need to succeed in their entrepreneurial ventures.
A representative from the Women and Children Affairs of Maichew City emphasized the importance of the training program in helping women identify business opportunities, collect information, set goals, and improve their business practices.
Through this initiative, EDI-Ethiopia is empowering women to overcome barriers, build sustainable businesses, and contribute to the economic growth of their community.
