EDI-Ethiopia hosted Entrepreneurship and Business Management Skills Training for 200 unemployed women of Maichew city

EDI-Ethiopia hosted Entrepreneurship and Business Management Skills Training for 200 unemployed women of Maichew city in Maichew Agricultural poly technical college.
Women are the foundation of development. Empowering women means empowering the whole family, the whole society and the whole country. Accordingly, EDI-Ethiopia has been hosting a 4-days entrepreneurship training for 200 women Maichew town. The main objective of this training is to enhance the entrepreneurial attitude and behavior of women. 
Ms. Birshua G/Gergis, Gender and Children Affairs Coordinator of Maichew city¸ officially inaugurating the training. In her opening remarks Ms. Birshua has emphasized that entrepreneurship is the panacea for our underdevelopment. So, this training will help them to capacitate their entrepreneurial skills.  In addition, EDI-Ethiopia is ready to continue to provide various types of training to enhance the capacity of women entrepreneurs. 
What made this training different from all other trainings was that there were about 60 more women with children. In order to ensure that the women with children receive their training properly, EDI has been provided with childcare services at its own expense in the training area. Finally, the mothers said,“When we were called to various trainings in the past, it was set as a requirement that we only have no children. But EDI helped us to take our training properly while taking care of our children and staying in daycare. Thank you, team of EDI, for opening our eyes.  We are happy to work with you”.
