EDI Powers Tigray Region’s Next Generation of Entrepreneurs During GEW 2024

As part of the Global Entrepreneurship Week 2024, the Entrepreneurship Development Institute (EDI) -Tigray Regional Coordination Office empowered 39 aspiring entrepreneurs through its 890th Entrepreneurship Training Workshop (ETW). Held at Serdo Hotel in Wukro City during the first week of November, the workshop equipped participants with the essential skills and knowledge to launch and scale successful businesses.
 

The diverse group of participants included instructors and management personnel from Wukro Agricultural Polytechnic College and Saint Mary College, as well as six private business owners. Through a practical, hands-on approach, the workshop covered topics such as business environment knowledge, information, and entrepreneurial behaviors and competencies. This comprehensive training will prepare participants for the upcoming Entrepreneurship and Business Management skills (EBMS) Training of Trainers (ToT) program.


Following the workshop, two participants shared their enthusiasm, expressing how the training had opened their eyes to the opportunities and challenges of entrepreneurship. They commended EDI's dedication to fostering a thriving entrepreneurial ecosystem in the Tigray region.
By aligning with the goals of Global Entrepreneurship Week, EDI continues to play a crucial role in driving economic growth and creating sustainable livelihoods in the region. Through its innovative training programs, EDI empowers individuals to become job creators, contribute to community development, and inspire future generations of entrepreneurs.
