EDI-South organized a Group Business Development Services (BDS) session to empower young entrepreneurs

In celebration of Global Entrepreneurship Week #GEW2024Ethiopia, we organized a Group Business Development Services (BDS) session on November 20, 2024, aimed at empowering young entrepreneurs. Held at Boditi Polytechnic College, the session brought together a diverse group of participants, including youth entrepreneurs and representatives from their respective enterprises.

The session featured a comprehensive training series focused on Financial Literacy and Business Formalization, two critical areas for fostering sustainable business growth. Participants gained essential skills for effectively managing business finances, understanding cash flow, budgeting, and securing funding. Additionally, the session provided valuable insights into the process of formalizing a business, covering topics such as business registration, tax obligations, and legal requirements.

Designed to foster a productive learning environment, this workshop encouraged participants to assess their current business practices and identify opportunities for improvement. By equipping youth entrepreneurs with the necessary tools and knowledge for effective business management and formalization, we aim to nurture a new generation of well-prepared and confident business owners.

The Group BDS session laid a strong foundation for participants to enhance their business operations, access new markets, and achieve long-term success. This initiative underscores our commitment to fostering entrepreneurial growth, supporting local businesses, and contributing to the broader economic development of the region.
