The Entrepreneurial Business Management Skills (EBMS) training was conducted at Deka TVET College

The Entrepreneurial Business Management Skills (EBMS) training was conducted at Deka TVET College from November 20 to 23, 2024. This four-day session aimed to equip final-year students with the foundational entrepreneurial and business management skills necessary to transition into the professional world. The training was strategically organized to foster innovation and support the students' post-graduation entrepreneurial endeavors.

The program was inaugurated by Mr. Mathiwose, the Dean of Deka TVET College. In his opening speech, he emphasized the critical role of entrepreneurship in addressing unemployment and driving sustainable development. He also highlighted the significance of the partnership between the college and the Woreda Enterprise Office in ensuring the continued growth and success of the graduates' entrepreneurial ventures.

The participants, comprising 44 final-year students (26 males and 18 females), were organized into enterprise groups by the college's enterprise office. This approach allowed for practical, team-based learning and fostered collaboration among the trainees.

The trainees have been organized into enterprises by the college's enterprise office, with the aim of providing support from the woreda enterprise office upon their graduation. This strategic arrangement ensures that the participants receive guidance and assistance in developing their entrepreneurial skills and ventures as they transition from college to the professional world. The collaborative efforts between the college and the enterprise offices pave the way for a more structured and supportive environment for these future entrepreneurs.
