The Entrepreneurial Business Management Skills (EBMS) training was successfully held at Deka Town

The Entrepreneurial Business Management Skills (EBMS) training was successfully held at Deka Town TVET College in Gesha Woreda, South West Ethiopia, from November 20–23, 2024. The training targeted 38 graduating students (19 females and 19 males), equipping them with essential entrepreneurial skills to navigate the transition from academics to professional entrepreneurship.

Highlights
The program was inaugurated by the College Dean, Mr. Mathiwose, who emphasized the role of entrepreneurship in fostering socio-economic growth. He encouraged participants to utilize the training as a foundation for their entrepreneurial aspirations. To enhance practical learning, the trainees were organized into enterprise groups by the college’s enterprise office, enabling them to apply their knowledge in real-world scenarios.

Impact
The EBMS training enriched participants with both theoretical knowledge and practical skills, fostering their readiness to launch and manage enterprises. This initiative has laid a strong foundation for the students to contribute meaningfully to their communities and the economy of South West Ethiopia, reinforcing the pivotal role of entrepreneurship in driving local development.
