The Entrepreneurship and Business Management Skills (EBMS) training held from November 27 to 30, 2024 at Daye Polytechnic College

The Entrepreneurship and Business Management Skills (EBMS) training, held from November 27 to 30, 2024, at Daye Polytechnic College, targeted youth and female participants. The primary aim of the training was to inspire participants to consider entrepreneurship as a self-employment option by equipping them with essential skills for identifying viable business ideas and developing the competencies of successful entrepreneurs. Key topics included business start-up basics, idea generation, opportunity identification, information seeking, goal setting, and business planning.

The training brought together 38 participants, comprising 13 males and 25 females from diverse fields of study. Organized by the Ethiopian Entrepreneurship Development Institute (EDI) with sponsorship from the SEED project, the program was conducted in collaboration with Daye Polytechnic College, which provided the venue and logistical support.

This initiative reflects a concerted effort to empower the graduating class of youth at Daye Polytechnic College, preparing them to seize entrepreneurial opportunities and make meaningful contributions to their communities. By instilling foundational business skills and fostering a mindset of innovation and proactiveness, the EBMS training equips participants to take charge of their futures and explore sustainable self-employment pathways.
