Entrepreneurship and Business Management Skills (EBMS) was conducted at Boditi Polytechnic College

Global Entrepreneurship Week #GEW2024, the largest festival for entrepreneurs and startup supporters worldwide, took place from November 18–24, 2024. This year, the event focused on the theme of Inclusive Growth and Innovation, aimed at fostering a deeper understanding of entrepreneurial culture and possibilities across the globe. GEW featured a wide array of activities worldwide, bringing together entrepreneurs, innovators, and supporters to celebrate and promote entrepreneurship.

As part of GEW, a Training in Entrepreneurship and Business Management Skills (EBMS) was conducted at Boditi Polytechnic College from November 12–15, 2024. Organized in partnership with the Entrepreneurship Development Institute, this program aimed to equip participants with the knowledge and skills needed to pursue entrepreneurial ventures. Of the 43 individuals initially enrolled, 42 (12 men and 30 women) successfully completed the course, demonstrating remarkable engagement and dedication. The participants were all students from Boditi Polytechnic College, set to graduate in 2025. The training was led by Temesgen Geletu and Ashenafi Abera, both certified trainers at the EBMS TOT (Training of Trainers) level.

Through Boditi’s participation in GEW, attendees were empowered with the tools, resources, and confidence to launch their own businesses. This event provided an excellent platform for aspiring entrepreneurs to network with like-minded individuals, learn valuable skills, and gain insights into the business world.

The journey of an entrepreneur is never solitary—though it is fraught with challenges, it also offers numerous opportunities for growth and success. By fostering collaboration and supporting inclusive innovation, we can promote sustainable growth that benefits not only our local communities but also the wider world.
