The Entrepreneurship and Business Management Skills(EBMS) workshop is conducted in Wacha City

The Entrepreneurship and Business Management Skills(EBMS) training workshop was conducted in Wacha City, Southwest Ethiopia, from November 18 to 21, 2024. The workshop aimed to introduce innovative approaches to potential entrepreneurs in the city, empowering them to recognize and capitalize on the abundant natural resources in their environment. Many young trainees had previously struggled to identify these opportunities, but the training is believed to have significantly enhanced their awareness and understanding.

The session engaged 34 enthusiastic young participants, most of whom had already formed enterprises and were preparing to launch their own businesses. The training was facilitated by Lelaneh Nebiyu and Mebrit Hayelom, experienced EBMS trainers from Mizan ATVET.

The training's primary objective was to harmonize the ambitions of Wacha's aspiring entrepreneurs with their potential, fostering a commitment to building a better future. Achieving this goal may require additional training sessions to deepen understanding and sustain progress.

Although participants were initially cautious and hesitant to engage, their participation grew steadily throughout the program. By the end of the first day, the opportunity identification exercises sparked lively discussions, which continued enthusiastically until the final session.

While significant entrepreneurial potential was evident among the participants, addressing certain bureaucratic barriers is essential to unlock their full capabilities. It is recommended that additional PEIEB training sessions be organized to address these systemic challenges.
