An Entrepreneurship Business Management Skills (EBMS) training was conducted in Sylem Town for 51 participants

From November 25–28, 2024, an Entrepreneurship Business Management Skills (EBMS) training was conducted in Sylem Town, Gesha Woreda, Kaffa Zone, South West Ethiopia. The program targeted Technical and Vocational Training (TVT) students, equipping them with essential entrepreneurial and business management skills to launch and manage successful enterprises.

The training hosted 51 participants, comprising 28 males and 23 females, reflecting a commendable level of gender inclusivity. It commenced with an opening speech from the Enterprise Office Head, accompanied by experts from the Communication Bureau. The speakers emphasized the role of entrepreneurship in driving local economic growth and job creation. They also highlighted the significance of empowering young people with practical knowledge and skills to become effective business leaders, urging participants to make the most of this opportunity.

The training blended theoretical concepts with practical activities, including group discussions and hands-on exercises, to ensure participants could apply the knowledge in real-world scenarios.

By the end of the program, participants reported a deeper understanding of entrepreneurship and business management principles. They left better equipped to address challenges, seize opportunities, and contribute to local economic development by establishing their own ventures. This initiative represents a crucial step toward building a skilled, entrepreneurial workforce in Kaffa Zone and beyond.
