Business Development Service Counselor Training Kicks Off as Part of GEW 2025 in Tigray
As part of the Global Entrepreneurship Week (GEW) 2025 celebrations in Tigray, the Entrepreneurship Development Institute (EDI) launched a Business Development Service (BDS) Counselor Training in Mekelle on November 12, 2025. The training, aimed at building the capacity of trainers, is being delivered by senior trainers of trainers from Addis Abeba. Participants, including experienced trainers and aspiring counselors, are engaging in interactive sessions focused on enterprise support, mentorship techniques, problem-solving strategies, and client relationship management. The training highlights the crucial role of counselors in strengthening the entrepreneurial ecosystem and supporting startups and small businesses toward sustainable growth. This event marks an important component of GEW 2025 in Tigray, reflecting EDI’s ongoing commitment to fostering entrepreneurship and professional capacity in the region.
