Entrepreneurship Development Institute
As part of the Global Entrepreneurship Week (GEW) 2025 celebrations in Tigray, the Entrepreneurship Development Institute (EDI) launched an Entrepreneurship Training Workshop (ETW) in Mekelle on November 10, 2025, centered on developing the 10 Personal Entrepreneurship Competences (10PECs). The workshop brought together a diverse group of participants, including youth, higher government officials, and business owners, creating an interactive platform for learning and collaboration. Participants engaged in sessions designed to strengthen key entrepreneurial skills, such as opportunity seeking, innovation, self-confidence, goal orientation, and risk-taking, among others. Experienced facilitators from EDI guided participants through practical exercises and discussions, enabling them to understand and apply the 10PECs in their personal and professional entrepreneurial endeavors. The ETW served as a foundational GEW 2025 event, highlighting EDI’s commitment to building a strong entrepreneurial mindset and fostering a culture of innovation and enterprise in Tigray.
