Entrepreneurship & Innovation Ecosystem Building Exercise in the training public entrepreneurship and innovation ecosystem building

A core group exercise was conducted with the primary objective of designing a matured ecosystem to effectively support innovative Micro and Small Enterprises in Bitena city and Ethiopia at large. The activity tasked participants with a structured analysis of eight key ecosystem pillars: Vision, Infrastructures, Talent, Capital, Market, Culture, Government And Central Space. Working in groups, participants collaboratively mapped the current state, defined an ideal future state, identified critical gaps, and developed actionable recommendations for each pillar. This process revealed systemic challenges and generated a shared, strategic roadmap to bridge these gaps. The exercise successfully fostered a collective understanding of the necessary steps to build and maintain a vibrant, self-sustaining entrepreneurship ecosystem for the city and the nation at large.
