Entrepreneurship Training Workshop (ETW)

The Entrepreneurship Training Workshop (ETW) offered by the Entrepreneurship Development Institute (EDI) in Ethiopia is a flagship entrepreneurship development programme anchored in the EMPRETEC model of the United Nations Conference on Trade and Development (UNCTAD). In this workshop, participants  whether start‑ups, existing small and medium enterprises (SMEs), or potential entrepreneurs  engage in a behaviour‑centred learning process that emphasises personal entrepreneurial competencies (PECs) such as initiative‑taking, opportunity‑seeking, risk‑taking, persistent innovation and information‑seeking. Through the ETW, EDI helps entrepreneurs shift from simply “running a business” to “building a growth‑oriented enterprise,” integrating self‑awareness, mindset change and practical business growth techniques.
