Experience sharing

Two trainees shared their personal entrepreneurial journeys during the CETW session:   Mr. Hailu Hankalo, owner of an electronics and mobile shop, shared how he began saving money while attending university, using the pocket money he received from his parents. He started his business while still a student, working alongside his studies. Although his field of study is not related to his current business, his commitment and early financial discipline contributed to his success.   Ms. Meskerem H/Mariam, a teacher by profession, explained that her teaching income was not sufficient to cover her living expenses. To improve her situation, she sought opportunities beyond her primary job, completed training in an additional occupation during her spare time, and has now successfully established her own side business in addition to her teaching career.   These stories highlighted how determination, financial discipline, and continuous learning can create new opportunities for improved livelihoods.
