Experience sharing on: Entrepreneurship training Workshop /ETW/

The main objective of this activity is to initiate other participants Outcome: 31 participants were shared this best practice from Tagay. The session was leaded by: Zemach Lemecha Among the Entreprenership training Workshop /ETW/ trainees, one participant was selected to share his business experience, the challenges he faced, and the measures he took to overcome them. Mr. Tagay Kael, a graduate of Applied Chemistry from Wolaita Sodo University, joined government service in the Gurage Zone in 2021. During that time, he was motivated to start his own business and began saving 2,000 birr per month through an Ekub with 15 of his colleagues. Later, he resigned from his government job and started his own business (bar soap production). Throughout this process, he faced several challenges, including a lack of finance, high input costs, and the expense of purchasing production machinery. To address these issues, he took various measures and made use of available opportunities. However, he again encountered challenges, particularly the rising cost of inputs, which forced him to temporarily stop his business. From October 22–27/2025 GC he attended the ETW training delivered in Koore Zone, Kelle City. After completing the training, he immediately revised his business plan and restarted his enterprise by addressing the previous gaps. In addition, he expressed his interest in accessing a loan from the seed program to scale up his business.
