GEW 2025 Officially Kicks Off in Tigray through Joint Effort of Cooperative Agency and EDI

The Agency for Cooperative Work & Market Development Tigray, in collaboration with the Entrepreneurship Development Institute (EDI), officially launched the celebration of Global Entrepreneurship Week (GEW) on Nov 17, 2025. After the impressive presentation on GEW overview by Mr. Haftu Haile (EDI regional training coordinator), the Head of the Agency, Mr. Gebremedhin Hagos, stated that rebuilding and revitalizing Tigray requires the collective efforts of communities, cooperatives, unions, business associations, the Trade Federation, women groups, and the entrepreneurship ecosystem. He highlighted that only through strong collaboration can the region overcome existing challenges and achieve sustainable recovery. He further emphasized the importance of strengthening cooperatives and associations, addressing gaps, and ensuring that all stakeholders deliver effective services and contribute meaningfully toward the region’s development agenda.
