Global Entrepreneurship Week

International Entrepreneur Week was held at Kele Technical and Vocational Education and Training College in Kore Zone, South Ethiopia. The Dean of the College, Mr. Semelegn Ibrahim, stated that the government recognizes that young people are moving from being job seekers to creating jobs in the professions they have been trained for, and that the college plays a role in this by training skilled individuals. He added that the purpose of the college's leadership, staff, and students in celebrating Entrepreneurship Week is to help both students and staff move beyond traditional practices and embrace initiatives based on their skills and knowledge. A total of 215 students took part in the training provided by EDI in collaboration with the college. Mr. Smith emphasized the importance of taking advantage of available opportunities in the community. Speaking at the event, the EDI Representative and Entrepreneurship Coordinator in Kore Zone, Mr. Kindness Unda, noted that International Entrepreneurship Week has been celebrated with various programs since Monday. The Minister of Labor and Skills of the country, Ms. Mufariat Kamil, mentioned that following the national announcement, International Entrepreneurship Week has been celebrated in different regions of the country under the slogan 'Let's Build Together.' She also stated that the government is committed to expanding the entrepreneurship ecosystem and addressing related challenges.
