Governmental and Non-Governmental Organizations working on job creation (GO–NGO) Forum was held in Mekelle

EDI Tigray branch together with Tigray TVT and Job creation bureau hosts GO-NGO forum working on job creation with the objective of fostering collaboration among key stakeholders working to advance entrepreneurship and youth empowerment in the region. The event brought together representatives from various government offices, NGOs, development partners, who are engaged in entrepreneurship and job creation related support institutions to exchange experiences, discuss existing challenges, and explore areas of partnership aimed at strengthening the entrepreneurial ecosystem. Discussions emphasized the need for coordinated efforts to enhance access to finance, promote innovation, and create enabling policy and institutional environments for startups and micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs). The forum successfully resulted in a shared understanding of ongoing initiatives, identification of potential collaboration areas, and a commitment among participants to sustain collective action beyond GEW. Overall, the event served as a meaningful platform to align efforts and reaffirm the joint dedication of government and non-government actors toward promoting inclusive and sustainable entrepreneurship development in Tigray. W/ro Elsa Tesfay, Bureau head of TVT and Job Creation confirmed that the bureau will find ways to hos this event at least quarterly in collaboration with all stakeholders. And finally, thanked EDI for taking the initiative to organize the event for two consecutive years.
