Grassroots Womens Business Challenges Discussion

Grassroots, community-level dialogue was held at the last-mile level to explore the challenges faced by women entrepreneurs and to motivate unemployed women to launch their own businesses. The session brought together women running micro and small enterprises, as well as young women aspiring to become entrepreneurs within their local villages and communities. During the discussion, participants reflected on the barriers that prevent women from starting and growing their businessessuch as limited access to finance, weak market linkages, household responsibilities, and gaps in business knowledge. Through guided conversation, they identified practical solutions and shared lived experiences from the grassroots context. The dialogue also generated concrete recommendations to strengthen womens entrepreneurship at the local level, with a focus on creating supportive environments in their respective villages and small towns.
