Life Skill training

A Life Skills Training was conducted by the Entrepreneurship Development Institute (EDI) for young women aged 15–18 who are supported by HELVETAS in the Abosto area of the Sidama Region. The training aimed to empower adolescent girls by equipping them with essential life skills that promote personal growth, confidence, and self-reliance. Through interactive sessions, participants learned about communication, decision-making, problem-solving, self-awareness, and goal setting—skills that are crucial for navigating daily challenges and preparing for future opportunities. This initiative forms part of EDI and HELVETAS’s broader effort to strengthen the capacity of young women in vulnerable communities, enabling them to build a positive mindset, explore career paths, and actively contribute to their social and economic development.
