Opening speeches by Mr. Meried Maderia College Academic Dean This workshop is about empowering individuals, strengthening our communities, and shaping a future built on innovation and self-reliance. Entrepreneurship goes beyond simply starting a business. It’s about seeing opportunities where others see challenges, finding creative solutions to local problems, and creating change that lasts. Through this training, our goal is to give you the tools, confidence, and mindset to turn your ideas into real, impactful ventures. We’re truly inspired to see such a diverse group here today young people, women entrepreneurs, startup founders, and community leaders all gathered with a shared purpose: to learn, to collaborate, and to grow together. Your presence today is a strong sign of your commitment to progress, not only for yourselves but also for the communities you represent. A total of 62 participants took part in the program, including 23 men and 39 women.
