Opening (Training of Business Development Services (BDS) Advisors)

This report details the successful opening event of the Business Development Services (BDS) Advisors Training held at Tepi Poly Technique College. The training is specifically designed for Instructors who have already demonstrated their qualification in Entrepreneurship Business Management Skills (EBMS). The program aims to elevate their expertise, enabling them to serve as crucial advisors for Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) in the region. The event was warmly opened by Mr. Melkamu Ayele, the esteemed Dean of Tepi Poly Technique College. The opening session commenced with a warm welcome from College Dean Mr. Melkamu Ayele. In his address, he expressed deep pride in the participants, acknowledging their existing qualifications in EBMS. He highlighted the transformative nature of the training, emphasizing that it would enable them to transition from being entrepreneurs themselves to becoming vital enablers and catalysts for other businesses. Mr. Melkamu Ayele underscored the critical need for skilled BDS advisors in the Tepi region to support aspiring and existing entrepreneurs, thereby contributing significantly to local economic development and job creation. He concluded by urging participants to fully engage with the program and embrace their future role as pivotal guiding lights for the business community. OBJECTIVE The core objectives of this BDS Advisors Training are: ü Equip participants with advanced methodologies to effectively diagnose business challenges and identify growth opportunities for MSMEs. üDevelop practical skills in designing and delivering tailored business development solutions, strategic advice, and actionable plans for clients. üEnhance capacity to guide, coach, and mentor entrepreneurs through various business stages, from initial startup to scaling and sustainability.
