This session explores the major challenges affecting youth entrepreneurship in the area, including limited finance, weak business skills, and poor market linkages. It also highlights critical social barriers—such as lack of family support, discouraging peer or friendship circles, and the impact of how young people spend their time and who they spend it with, which often shapes their motivation and business focus. Panelists will discuss practical strategies to overcome these obstacles and share recommendations for creating a more supportive environment for young entrepreneurs, in collaboration with institutions like the Entrepreneurship Development Institute of Ethiopia (EDI).
