Youth Entrepreneurship Training Opening at Institute of Technology, Hawassa University.

The opening remark was delivered by Dr. Miheret Danato, Director of the Institute of Technology at Hawassa University. In his address to the participating youth, he explained that Global Entrepreneurship Week (GEW) is celebrated worldwide throughout November through various activities, and that this training is part of the global celebration. He emphasized that the primary objective of the Youth Entrepreneurship Training is to strengthen the entrepreneurial awareness and mindset of young people, particularly graduating students. Dr. Miheret highlighted that the sessions would help participants better understand and cultivate an entrepreneurial mindset. He encouraged students to engage actively and attentively in the training and concluded by expressing his appreciation to the Entrepreneurship Development Institute (EDI) for organizing such a valuable program for youth.  Following this, Mrs. Tigist Assefa, Coordinator of the Entrepreneurship Development Center at Hawassa University, provided additional remarks. She explained that the Youth Entrepreneurship Training was jointly organized by Hawassa University and the Entrepreneurship Development Institute. She advised participants to follow the sessions closely, noting that the training would significantly support their entrepreneurial thinking and readiness. Mrs. Tigist also announced that upon completion of the training, the Institute of Technology Business Incubation Center would host a business idea competition for incubates. She encouraged participants to use the training as an opportunity to identify, refine, and develop viable business ideas. In closing, she expressed her sincere appreciation to EDI for its strong collaboration and consistent support in facilitating this training.
