Youth Entrepreneurship Training (YET) Opening Ceremony

As part of the Global Entrepreneurship Week (GEW) 2025 celebration, the opening ceremony featured welcoming and inspirational remarks delivered by Dr. Mihret Dananto, Scientific Director of the Institute of Technology at Hawassa University. In his address, Dr. Mihret highlighted the global significance of GEW as a platform that brings together innovators, educators, and aspiring entrepreneurs to promote creativity, innovation, and sustainable business development. He emphasized that celebrating GEW at the university level creates a valuable opportunity for students to broaden their understanding of entrepreneurship, develop an entrepreneurial mindset, and explore pathways toward self-employment and innovation. Dr. Mihret also commended the collaborative efforts of Hawassa University and the Entrepreneurship Development Institute (EDI) in organizing such impactful initiatives that inspire and empower youth to become future business leaders and changemakers.
