GEW 2024: EDI and Hawelti Axum Polytechnic College Empowering Youth of Axum

The Entrepreneurship Development Institute (EDI) Tigray Regional Office, in collaboration with Hawelti Axum Polytechnic College, celebrated Global Entrepreneurship Week (GEW) 2024 by recognizing the impact of entrepreneurship education on the youth of Axum.
For over seven months, the team has been delivering training programs in entrepreneurship and business management skills to recent graduates and youth from the city, with a specific focus on women and young people. The training has had a significant impact on participants, fostering a positive shift in their mindset and inspiring them to pursue entrepreneurial ventures.
As part of the GEW 2024 celebration, the team gathered to discuss the progress made and the future potential of the program. Participants shared their experiences, highlighting how the training has equipped them with the necessary skills and knowledge to start and grow their own businesses.
The EDI team is proud to have facilitated access to finance and business advisory services for both existing and new entrepreneurs through collaborations with various organizations.
