GEW 2024: EDI Empowers Women Entrepreneurs in Wukro

The Entrepreneurship Development Institute’s Women Entrepreneurship Development Program (WEDP) Mekelle office is currently empowering women entrepreneurs in Wukro through a comprehensive training program. This initiative, conducted in collaboration with Mekelle Polytechnic College and the Wukro city administration, is part of the ongoing month-long celebration of Global Entrepreneurship Week (GEW) 2024.
The training is specifically tailored to address the unique challenges faced by women entrepreneurs in the region. By providing essential skills and knowledge in areas such as business planning, financial management, marketing, and customer service, WEDP aims to equip participants with the tools they need to succeed.
This training is not just about imparting knowledge, it's about empowering women to take charge of their economic destinies. By fostering a supportive environment and providing practical guidance, we hope to inspire and enable these women entrepreneurs to achieve greater heights.
The participants of the training program are enthusiastic about the opportunities it presents. And WEDP's commitment to empowering women entrepreneurs aligns with the broader goals of GEW 2024, which seeks to inspire innovation, create jobs, and foster economic growth worldwide. By investing in women's entrepreneurship, WEDP is not only strengthening individual businesses but also contributing to the overall development of the region.
