GEW-2024: EDI-Tigray Regional Office Engages Stakeholders to Foster Entrepreneurship in Adigrat


As part of the Global Entrepreneurship Week 2024 celebrations, the Entrepreneurship Development Institute (EDI) Tigray Regional Office convened a stakeholder engagement workshop in Adigrat City on November 24, 2024. The workshop aimed to raise awareness about EDI's mission, vision, key interventions, and training services, with a particular focus on the SEED project.
Mr. Gebremedhin Berhane, Coordinator of Medium and Small Enterprise of Adigrat City, inaugurated the workshop. Tesfu Abrha, the Eastern Zone deployed trainer, presented EDI's impactful projects in the Tigray region, highlighting the achievements in Wukro City.
The workshop provided a platform for participants to engage in a fruitful dialogue, asking questions and seeking clarifications on the SEED project's objectives. Mr. Tesfu and Mrs. Selamawit, Eastern Zone deployed BDS Coordinator, addressed the participants' inquiries comprehensively.
The workshop was attended by representatives from various government offices, including the Adigrat Veteran Office, Adigrat Bureau of Vice Mayor and Economic Cluster, Youth Affairs, Women Affairs, One-Stop Service, IDP Representative, Adigrat Disability Association, Adigrat Polytechnic College, and technical colleges.
At the conclusion of the workshop, participants expressed their strong commitment to collaborating with EDI to recruit potential youth trainees for upcoming EBMS training programs. They emphasized the importance of collective efforts to achieve the project's objectives and foster entrepreneurship in Adigrat City.
